Revalco International measuring tools from Rho, Milan, are designed to measure an electrical quantity and are classified according to their particular operating characteristic or aptitude. They are constructed taking into account the standards dictated and recognised by the relevant international bodies.

Indicators
These tools are equipped with a pointer that moves on a
graduated dial (scale) and assumes different positions depending on the value of the quantity being measured.
The scales of a tool can be:
- linear or uniform type, when the subdivisions are uniformly distributed ;
- of the quadratic type, when the subdivisions are thicker at the top and wider at the bottom, following a quadratic law;
- of other types, some in accordance with mathematical laws (logarithmic, exponential, etc.), others drawn empirically.
The moving crew of an electrical tool is integral with an axis supported between two fixed supports whose task is to guide it, making free rotation possible.
The supports have a spherical seat with a radius greater than that of the axis.

Revalco International has adopted the pivot suspension with hard stone outer supports which allows a lower coefficient of friction and in which the axle is carried by the lower support while the upper support acts as a guide.
In turn, the upper support has a seat fitted with a spring so that the pressure exerted on the pivots can be graduated and maintained over time.
This spring also has the function of absorbing any shocks on the tool (shock-absorbing).
In order to allow the pointer to reach its position in a linear and non-violent manner, Revalco International has adopted a viscous damping system by moving the shaft near the lower support in a chamber containing a highly viscous silicone-based substance.
The motion of the shaft and the entire moving crew is braked and, by dosing the action developed by the viscous substance, it is possible to achieve the desired degree of damping, which remains unchanged over time.
Strumenti analogici
Analogue measuring tools basically have a graduated scale, on which the measurement value can be read. The sensitivity of a tool is the smallest variation of the quantity that the tool can detect.
Different types of measuring tools include:
- Ammeters (alternating current, direct current, maximum demand)
- Frequency meters
- Power factor meters
- Synchronoscopes
- Voltimeters
- Wattimeters and Thermometers
Digital tools
The digital tool has a display on which the measurement value appears as a sequence of digits.
These tools include various types of measuring devices, such as:
- Dual digital tools
- Standard digital tools
- TRMS (True Effective Value) digital tools
Multifunctional Tools
It has the design of a convenient box with a reading window (which can be an analogue dial with a moving index, or a digital display), one or more controls on the front panel and at least two electrical sockets to which the measurement probes can be connected.
